Mark Rosewater, the lead designer of the trading card game Magic the Gathering, once said in a talk that during the playtesting of a new set they have people rate cards from a 1-10 scale. Counter-intuitively what they focus on aren't the cards that get high average ratings but rather the decisive ones that get both 1's and 10's. Their rationale being that those are the cards that get people deeply emotionally engaged with the game. I think a similar logic applies to Jav.
