I’m talking about the concept of magi in general. 99% of what they do is unrelated to Servants and even in the “Magi timeline” a huge chunk of it is Church vs Magi. It’s just that over time, Nasu struggled to write a Fate story that didn’t involve Servants. Case Files was supposed to be that but got dragged into Servantshit by vol 4, the Adventures series thankfully seems to be focusing more on both magi and pagan gods and shit instead of Servants (with the exception of Gray).
