I think you'd be really surprised actually!

I was almost giddy from how much I was enjoying the first three episodes. Just the whole feeling of mystery and magic, all of the questions waiting to be asked about Touka and stuff - the early episodes were charged with a great, inexplicable energy.

Episode 4 was a disappointment. It felt like the animators/writers for the show were just coasting before on a nice early plot laid out by the LN writer, but they didn't deliver on any of the crucial points like the kiss where he seals Touka.

I don't like how the rest of it went at all. I didn't find Yoshinon's sealing story, or her character, interesting at all. The whole "timid girl who expresses herself through a proxy" cliche has been played out - remember Moeka?

I also didn't like his sister's sealing story. Obviously her personality is nothing new (tsunderes who at first appear dere is probably the #2 most popular personality for characters,) and it was such a disgusting cop-out how, in the final episode, he dropped that "Of course I love you... as a sister" line. Just a shitty, shameless return to the status quo which shows the show writers have more of an interest in prolonged money extraction than satisfying resolution of character arcs.

Meat is murder that tastes good. So Spirits like it twice as much.
