I'm not sure. I'll wait for general reactions, because it depends on the direction the story goes.

I really liked the first two days of the loop when it goes from three characters in a treasure hunt to a bunch of mysterious stuff happening like a police fugitive and one of the characters (Hilda) going crazy seeing visions and people dying around her, leading her to think that she was cursed by a ghost. However, once they meet the other loopers, everything calms down and they make it seem like the only danger is mentally "dying" out of boredom.

They loop through a single day, dying isn't an issue, and some have been there for more than a decade. Apparently they can do nothing to end it either and need to just wait for it to end like a natural storm.

The end of the demo was mostly Tyler (the male lead) bonding with Mia, one of the loopers and the main marketed girl, who was mostly bored after trying everything she could do in that one day, even stuff like traveling to far away, diving and such... but it turns out she didn't know the joy of GeoHunting (a fictional app in the game which marks the general location of physical hidden treasures around the world)... which all felt pretty cliche for this kind of aloof character.

They do set up that there are two kinds of looper breakdowns though, some people just "turn off" after a while, but others become like beasts and need to be put down by the other loopers. So, there is set up for drama, but it's hard to tell how much that will play into it overall. Also, one of the girls who is in most of the marketing and even the opening is actually out from the start which is kind of odd. So, there might be some big twist.
