Since we got Sanae, descendant of Suwako, then its only logical that there should be other demigods as well. This is a male descendant of Kanako, priest from branch Suwa shrine.

He investigate the "loss of dignity/aura" in the grand shrine, and managed to cross to Gensokyo, finding that the shrine's spiritual copy was transferred here, along with Sanae (reported missing) and the goddess over 10 years ago.

He must decide whether to A= cut off the spiritual link (which can damage Gensokyo shrine) or B= let things be (which will damage the Outside World's shrine).
The final ritual ofcourse needed mana so he needs to romance, marries, and sex up a girl. Route is Reimu (mainly route A), Sanae (mainly route B) and Marisa (neutral)

sketch. Kanako's descendant after her "male" self split since people thought that the god that came to Suwa were a pair of husband and wife. The male Kanako, the "Takeminakata" then continues his journey and this guy came from this lineage.

After Moriya Shrine was transported to Gensokyo, the physical copy of the shrine remains in the outside world, however, as the astral copy has gone, the shrine started to lose its "aura".

After 10+ years of this spiritual drought, a young, miraclous priest became well known at a branch shrine. He was then called to "rebaptize" the main Moriya Shrine, however, during his spiritual investigation, he instead discover the trace of Kanako's ritual back then, and managed to recreate it, giving him the ability to spirited away his astral self to Gensokyo, like Sumireko.
