but steve said that SRSing the first few thousand most frequent words is a "waste of time" because they show up so frequently when reading and listening.

so which the fuck is it bros? is SRS good for the most frequent words or is it good for less frequent words?

by keeping a blog he probably thinks he's holding himself accountable to readers and so he'll be more likely to stick with it. but for him it just seems to make him hate what he's doing because he's not able to live up to the standards he publicly sets for himself. i bet habitca has the same effect.

also the ajatt shit is just cancerous for someone like him because he thinks he needs to listen and read for hours even when he's continually failed to do it. how about you limit your learning to an hour or two a day. steve only reads for an hour or two and listens while he does chores, and he makes slow but steady progress in languages like arabic. if you can't manage even that, then just give up and do something else. he probably thinks there's something mystical about knowing an asian language. poor guy.

>It is 100% waste of time
So you're saying if something is important enough you'll remember it with enough exposure. OK, that makes sense.

Let's say you want to remember something faster than the rate at which you encounter it in the wild.

How would you go about doing that?
