>Almost like you're wrong and she was in fact referring to the lady life?
She's clearly talking about the environment in that quote. I don't see how you can read it in any other way. Besides, St.Lucia is lady life. There's nothing to do there if they don't care for that.

Satoko talks about bringing back the Rika that ran around and played around in Hinamizawa, but there wasn't even space for that in St.Lucia.

>Mei disproves you too since Satoko is perfectly fine in St Lucia simply because Rika does stay with her all the time.
Mei's fragments diverge way back in 83 due to Kazuho and co alongside all the other stuff. Note that Satoko is actually -surprised- Rika was one day waiting for her after special classes, and yet she wasn't already imploding like anime Satoko at that point.

>Not "more", she said "harder", as in, what she did for the exam wasn't enough for the regular classes.
She doesn't talk about regular exams at all, she goes from the entrance exams to being angry and protesting at needing to study again.

>We also know she wanted Rika's help in studying but was too proud to do so, so she didn't want to leave just yet.
And yet by that point she was already glaring and at Rika from windows and considering her a traitor and liar. Then next goes and yells out publicly how she did it all for Rika, but Rika wasn't acting like herself there.

Anime Satoko was just way too dismissive of Rika's dream. Manga Satoko actually trying to follow it only to break down in that path, then immediately feel extremely guilty about it all, works much better and fits her character flaws more.

>if Mion was in a position of power, she would know that Oryou was putting on an act and that the Sonozakis were innocent. Also, the very fact that Oryou was acting was a secret
Nah. See pic related. It's a secret no one aside from Oryo knew.

>Why would he? It's not like he ever wanted to, this is completely different from the Satoko situation, there's no reason to bring up Mion.
Mion has the Sonozaki name, successor position, if Keiichi could make her act many of their problems would be avoided. And he does try in Tatari and Mina.

>You're omitting a lot of details here.
I'm not ignoring how there were many steps before Rika got there. This isn't about Rika vs Keiichi, I'm just pointing out the one who actually changed Satoko's way of thinking wasn't Keiichi.

You're just saying that "assertiveness is a magic word and all problems will go away!"

>This is simply a woman who needs help studying, thinks her friend has betrayed her and refuses her help. Keiichi would notice this issue, and because even Rika herself admitted how assertive Keiichi is compared to her, he would spring into action. Not to mention the whole "becoming lady-like" wouldn't apply to Keiichi anyway.
An equivalent scenario would need to still be a stiff, formal environment, and Keiichi presumably would be under those rules too (and would adapt to them better than Satoko), even if it wasn't specifically a girls-only school.
