On the one hand, pixiv has real, professional artists and other industry types uploading their portfolios to it, which is pretty neat. But horribly drawn fetish art still gets more views.

On the other hand, I really like the system of tags that DeviantART has (pixiv technically has them too, but you can only search them, not jump between them), and I really like its minimalist design compared to pixiv's fancy moonspeak and advertising bloat. Also, unlike pixiv, dA allows blatantly copyright infringement. But I can't read their crazy internet speak, so tags are of limited use.

pixiv for badass professional art, dA for smut.
