Yeah, and the degradation is even worse than flat HP costs because she'll distract healers for the full duration of her skill. She becomes an active liability without someone like Saria or Rinne to attend to her on the side.

As for Koharu, her 50% attack/defense reduction is no joke, but her mechanics are so clunky that nobody wants to optimize her use if they can help it (being the latest in the line of increasingly contrived youkai-only classes doesn't help her case). If they ever release an event nekomata without completely gimping it, the class could create some fancy event-only majin tactics.

I also have a soft spot for her because cats doing normal cat things is the best part of Japanese art. Besides, shamisen is made with catskin, right? There's some Soylent Green shit going around here.

She will pull her weight in any team, but she isn't broken like some of the more recent units. Her SAW makes her useful as a "place down, use skill, take out something nasty, retreat" unit in harder content.

Too bad her AW2 route doesn't really fit her, King of Fighters would have complemented her kit much better.
