Not really, Shion would be in high school at that point with her sister according to Kokoroiyashi-hen, that's why she also wasn't even able to show up at the Watanagashi festival after they graduated middle school. It's not like they have cellphones yet, Shion didn't know what Satoko went through in St Lucia since Satoko was too proud to ask anyone for help. As far as we're aware, Satoko would be screwed with only the useless little meeper who'd probably give up and kill herself, since she also forgot Minagoroshi happened.

But really, the point is that those issues weren't addressed in Matsuribayashi, us assuming potential scenarios isn't going to change that.
