...an incredibly powerful youkai that oversees the safety of Gensokyo. She has the ability to manipulate the "boundary" between two connected or conflicting objects, whether physical or abstract or conceptual, to a currently unknown extent. This commonly includes creating barriers and "gaps" in space that can transport objects. She is an extremely old youkai and is figured to have a hand in creating the two borders that seal Gensokyo from the outside world. Despite the ambiguity and unknown scope of her ability, she is reasoned to have limitations on her boundary ability including the complexity of the boundary and the requirement of the boundary actually existing. However, these are offset by her vast intellect and cunning, which are seemingly unparalleled. She lives somewhere on the edge of Gensokyo with her shikigami and her shikigami's shikigami. She is said to hibernate during the winter and sleep often during all other times; her shikigami performs needed tasks during these periods.
