It's obvious live viewers isn't a metric you can rely on for anything useful anymore, its especially bad since we know Japanese sponsors DO look at CCV (i.e. Noel's event).
There's a few things you can do to confirm this beyond any doubt; compare the post-stream views of New Year's costumes to their CCVs between 2021 and 2020, compare concert CCV-to-instant-views, etc. None of it lines up anymore.

It's unfortunate since there are many Holos who numberfag themselves and might really worry about it.
