Because some of us honestly like the results. Because most of the models are of a kind that, be it for the character or design, would never -ever- see the light otherwise (i.e. massively produced). And we're ready to pay reasonably higher prices, because we're fully aware that we're paying for the devoted work of an actual man, and not a machine's. I don't see any hypocrisy here.
