Another thing to consider is whether it is necessary at all to describe a reaction that has been shown with art. A degree of description can help in a VN at times but it's not wrong to rely on the imagery. You can set a faster pace by allowing certain details to be seen, rather than read.

And finally, this description could have come from a third person, and it sounds like it did. My understanding is that this VN is being narrated by its leading male character. In a first person narrative, it is not always necessary to describe things directly as they are. You can probably get away with not describing something the narrator encounters at all, by instead describing his reaction or train of thought. For example, your protagonist could have highlighted the blush with a bit of internal dialogue, like "Wow, that really got to her. Her cheeks are bright red, and I didn't think it was possible for a girl to open her eyes that wide."
