What if she's got no mofu but tons of really wild, shaggy fluffy hair? Would lots of soft hair on an amazon or dragon qualify as second-degree mofu? Maybe if she tied it into a little tail at the bottom?

I've been meaning break this down for an art discussion, actually, since it seems so divisive.
Me personally:

Smooth and Tight - excellent, very good
Lean and Athletic, some tone - Gimme
Angular, somewhat chiseled - I guess maybe?
Roided out, overall body shape changes - hold up there, buster

I think pic related is my absolute upper limit for something like an Amazon or Jinko, someone the body type would make sense for. Definitely not my ideal though. I will also note that this particular character has a face and hairstyle that I like and might be affecting it. Also note the relatively light shading.

People put on muscle differently, though, and their skin adapts differently. Some people just aren't meant to stack on muscle the same way some people look better with long or short hair, with or without glasses.

There are a number of ways artists show it that can make or break the look. First thing I notice is how they shade it. Thin black lines in lineart usually work best for me, going thicker and heavier on the shading can give either a shiny or clay-like look that can give the impression that something's wrong with the skin. White girls with a pink gradient muscle shading and/or visible shine on muscle mass look really off to me, like plastic. I see that style a lot and really don't like it.

There's also the issue of female muscle being kind of hard to find good anatomy references for and a lot of people not knowing how to draw it. There's a problem where some artists draw a normal pretty female shape but add defined muscle on without reshaping the rest of the body to flow into it. It looks painted on and kinda weird. I've seen really pretty Jinkos with a lot of muscle definition, but also some that looked off though they were about the same size.

I think a lot of it comes down to art style and how much seeing hard lines and shapes on otherwise smooth surfaces makes you feel. Muscular girl pics tend to vary pretty wildly in straight-up quality and accuracy to anatomy.
