There are four or five ponds in the park with trails running around the edge of the ponds. I don't know if the ponds are always so varied, but when I checked there was one that seemed to be just mud, one that was kind of a marsh, and one that was an actual pond. The pond that always seems to be full of water is constantly open to the public while the trails leading to the others are closed when it's dark.

On the side of the main pond is a nice library with huge windows in the back so you can look out into the preserve. It's a nice park.
