Saying that most of the battles in that game are a waste of time is accurate, though.

Training is nearly worthless when you can make Orichalcum (which is before Crossel), at least until you're at the Maze of Tribulations (which then you wind up with such fuckawesome weaponry the only thing you're training for is your low HP stat).
