I think HF is significantly worse than people believe it to be, and Fate is much better than people give it credit for.

For the record I don't hate Sakura as a character, and while I like Saber I don't consider her my waifu or anything.

If we're talking about FHA, then sure. I can say Sakura is cool and what not.
HF is just so much preachy nonsense and forced events to lead to Nasu's intended plotline, regardless of whether they make sense or not.
Why does Saber Alter exist? Arcueid was ditched in the Far Side Routes and nothing broke because of it.
Alter on the other hand doesn't even have a personality, doesn't interact with Sakura in any meaningful way.
She's just there for the obligatory boss fight.

Why does saving Sakura immediately mean Shirou's dream is stupid?
It's such a nonsense black and white mentality that I even struggled understanding why they're making such a big deal.
Shirou in the previous routes can't stop preaching about saving everyone, clearly agreeing with Kiritsugu's many vs few ideology.
In UBW especially he had that scene with Caster and Taiga where he was thinking how to save everyone from that situation, and he chose right by sacrificing Saber, since Saber wasn't gonna die.
However, in HF he's apparently 100% like Kiritsugu because he's physically hurting at the thought that people will die unless he kills Sakura.
Rin is 100% on board with killing Sakura because "muh mage rules" despite the fact that she used her most precious gem to save Shirou because she didn't want Sakura to be sad (and because she likes him I guess).

And ultimately, as much as HF might want to tell us that abandoning his ideal led to a happier ending, it kinda backfires because of Archer.
If no Emiya Shirou ever followed his dream, Archer wouldn't exist. If Archer doesn't exist, then Shirou and Sakura are fucked, because no Archer Arm.
Archer's arm is literally the only way Shirou could've defeated Berserker, Saber Alter and saved Sakura. As he never even uses his own projection magic in HF, only relying on Archer's arm.

Brothers, what do you imagine will happen when Shallow Loon's translation of Mahoyo comes out?
A. It sucks and people start pointing out all the mistakes they made by using DeepL instead of actually translating.
B. It sucks, but no one cares because they still like FSN despite all the mistakes and just want to read Mahoyo no matter how bad it is even if they spend their time mocking Cokesakto's KnK.
C. It's fine, to everyone's surprise that the discord trannies managed to not ruin everything.

By the way, I recently learned that there were supposedly changes made in KnK between the original blog/webnovel and the light novel release. Anything significant? Or did they just make Shiki less of a cunt to suicidal people?
