Ideally I'd translate everything in a way that sounds as natural as possible and made the work seem like it was written natively, which sort of leans towards "wife" (which is also the literal translation of 嫁. Then, again "waifu" kind of fits in with her otaku interests and Eilene's sense of humour and there's a precedent for using it. It's a pretty minor thing, but I'll put it to a vote anyway.
