Nobody?
A handful of anons already knew ships not going to sink from 中破. Another portion were posting anecdotal evidence and horror stories about ships sank from 中破　or even full health. The last and majority of portion of admirals were unsure which opinions are true and just play it safe (retreating on 中破,not advancing to night if the ship already in 大破, and/or using damecons).

The fearmongering only started to subside when the 'ships sinks from 中破' crowds repeatedly fails to deliver the evidence. To this day, i don't know whether it was a ruse or just people believing the false rumor because 'their fuzzy memory/friends/wiki said so'. Although, It really doesn't help that people started using Wo-class pictures while posting the correct theories.

On another note, people should avoid wiki like a plague and attain knowledge just from playing kancolle if they wanted it to be a fun experience. At least later on, he and other anons could laugh at his beginner mistakes such as scrapping important ships or repeatedly using 4xBB for world 1 or 2.
