I want to get into touhou but i have no clue where to start.

Do i start from the first game?
Will it affect story progression if i skip to a certain one?

i heard Imperishable Night was a good one to start at but it's 8th game in, so i'm a bit lost as to where to start.

What are some good non-h Touhou doujins that are DONE?

Cirno and Reimu's One Two Three is fucking adorable and awesome, but is currently on a cliffhanger.
Okuu of the Void is dark and AMAZING, but the third volume seems to be the last one currently available and it's obviously not the ending.

Other Touhou doujins seem to be enamored with the idea of being bothersome. Your stupid, stupid story does not suddenly become interesting just because you're using Touhou characters. Also, the people who make these shitty doujins LOVE making it difficult to tell who's saying what. Let's have a dialogue bubble be on the OPPOSITE side of the panel from the character who's saying it! Let's have the dialogue bubble only have the TINIEST arrow pointing to the person who's talking! Let's combine the two ideas and make it so the arrow is ACTUALLY pointing to three different people, all standing in a line, who all have their mouths open! Better yet, let's have the dialogue bubble NOT point to anyone AT ALL! Neither Okuu of the Void nor Cirno and Reimu's One Two Three have these issues.

I'd really love a lengthy Touhou story that actually has an ending. For all the years Touhou has been around, surely SOMEONE has completed a good Touhou work.
