I once wrote a whole story about being forced to be Momiji's live-in husband, but she's completely apathetic and judgmental which would culminate in the main character falling off a cliff in the dead of winter, breaking several bones, and deciding 'screw it, might as well let the snow cover me and die then'. Eventually he's rescued and begrudgingly nursed back to health by Momiji who's pissed since the other wolves are making fun of her and the higher-ups aren't too pleased about her wasting assets.
Then I realized they're so many spousal abuse Touhou stories already.
And the more I think about it, the more ideas come to mind.

Youkai are not good wives. Tengu aren't special in that regard. Get out while you still can.
