I can barely converse in English because I'm socially retarded, which just increases 10x when trying to speak Japanese with a native.
I feel selfish just talking about myself but I've heard that asking "how are you?" isn't really common in Japan.
And most of them ask me how school/work is. I'm a NEET but too ashamed to admit it so I never really know what to say.
