Hitboxes feel weird because they are weird. For example, EoSD's large bubble bullet's hitbox as seen in pic related is square (pretty sure it's circular like it should be in all the other games). Also you can't see your hitbox when you focus with shift.

By the way, you'll probably want to get vpatch working to decrease input lag, especially for EoSD
