Well in that case I'd just go to library and read the ending from a different book. But you've got the right idea, and so did, I think, R07: in order to make a guy like me think about the mystery, the author can't just hand the solution on a platter.

I still don't think much about Umineko's solution because I am not convinced that it's fair - there's too much bad-faith nitpicking like "Kinzo is a honorary name that can be transferred from person to person" going on in it. But he's got the right idea. If he had kept it relatively straightforward I probably would have made a serious attempt to solve it myself.
