Here's something I haven't seen any discussion about: what is the substance the magic circles are painted with, and will it end up being any sort of a clue? The descriptions always compare it to blood, but none of the characters ever seriously say that they think that's what it is. Also, iirc it always gets described as sticky, which struck me as odd. The most interesting use of it is on Natsuhi's door: if it isn't blood, it seems unlikely that the culprit would have enough on their hands to do that by accident, unless they do the magic circles by fingerpaint.

OP, don't you mean "Ange is my favorite character in any form of fiction, also, I haven't read Umineko Episode 1?"
