I'd likely recommend a locking ottoman in your situation. Check out flight cases too. Last would be a 3' x 3' section of your closet. Ideally sealed off as a locking cabinet. For the ottoman reach out to some vendors and explain your situation. I'm thinking either Doll Channel or SD Canada. Not sure if DC has ottomans but he might be cool enough to help you figure this out (and speaks engrish).

Plausible deniability comes to mind here. What's in the box, anon? That needs to be a dismissive and non-interesting answer coupled with a "zero chance I'm taking time opening this because you are curious" answer.

Without that option I'd try to use a flight case for furniture or at least a secure way to hide it in case the case is found, it is locked. After that I'd have a handyman come in and integrate or build a locking cabinet into my closet when the others aren't around.
