Yeah, some people (Russians and hillbillies) eat bears and depending on how/where they live they apparantly taste different, eg. if it was particularly wild and ate fish all the time it tastes better than a big trash panda.
If it eats meat there's a chance of getting muscle parasites unless you cook it thoroughly, like pork, due to bioaccumulation.
It's also going to be tough and chewy because cows and pigs sit around all day not doing much to work most of their muscles, so they stay tender, but cats and dogs will exercise a lot more and have lots of connective tissue, especially given their small size.
