For the anon who asked before the miku sex toy thread got deleted:

>What are some things I sure avoid and things I should keep an eye for?

Avoid vinyl or anything less than silicone or similar material. Vinyl CHAFES and low quality sex toys might even use hard plastic (ouch!). Avoid ebay and for god's sake shop around. There are plenty of chinese knockoffs that sellers will gladly sell for $300 more than it really costs. Avoid open ended toys if possible. Sure they're easy to clean, but most of them are short and plugs will pop out once things get going, especially if it's the vibrating egg variety.

>The only Japanese Fleshlight that I know of is Tenga Fliphole. But I'm not too keen about it. What sites do you buy your stuff?

Most of my stuff is just part of my job, I work for a sextoy manufacturer as a tester. However, we do like to check out the competition and I tend to get my stuff from the wholesaler connections.

The truth is that we pretty much ram you with the price and you're just going to have to take your chances to get a relatively decent price or go to one of the larger distributors that have reviews if you want some semblance of a guarantee. Just remember that all sales are going to be final and you might as well not hate yourself for paying less.

Tenga is a decent brand but the fliphole is their new expansion into being reusable instead of a one night fling.

The side flip is a great way to clean and get right in there, but the downside is that sometimes lube and air will leak out of the side. Also, to get the added "squeeze" is harder because it's encased in a relatively large hard plastic with two windows that you can only use your fingers and thumb to apply pressure. It gets a little uncomfortable and you may miss the added constriction from your entire hand.

As I said before, the Head Honcho is easy and cheap. Get that first and if you like it then you may want to expand into other toys.

I went on a trip to Japan in 2002. I had a great time, but by and large, I have to say in retrospect, the Japanese are kind of a fucked culture. They're xenophobic, elitist, anal retentive, OCD, histrionic creeps with multiple paraphilias. Since then, I've met a lot of Koreans and Chinese, and they're just the salt of the earth by comparison. Warm, smart, funny, laid back, outgoing. Just saying. Going to Nippon cured me of thinking it's this awesome futuristic place. Oh, and they don't have paper towels. Or trashcans on city streets.
