Yeah. Even people that WILL sell to westerners can be scary to approach, because you may need to compose something legible in Japanese, and if you can't find someone to translate, reading a response would be even more hopeless.

I wonder how much Sigma recycles, actually. I understand an artist's style always shows through, but I get a feeling that maybe some customs are still altered from a base model. And yeah, a video or something would be super cool.

I think the hobby is only going to grow from here. I saw a post on /cgl/ a while back that was saying that kigs were "all over" at some cons like it was old news!
I'm bracing for a serious influx of younger people and newbies. When I first found the community, it was mostly older folk and pretty tightly knit. Now I feel like it's impossible to escape the perils of younger internet users. I'm just hoping that the small amount of talented, cool people that come along will be worth it. Who knows, maybe we'll get pro sculptors and cosplay accessory makers to start responding to the demand. Hell there's that helmet-making guy that asks questions in here sometimes.
