Apologies on behalf of all of /jp/ for most of the posts here. This is weekend /jp/, you might want to come here on a different day if you want to ask serious questions.

As for VN recommendations:
First of all, Little Busters! is a must. It's the VN most like Clannad (made by the same company), it's possibly even better than Clannad, and it has great art. It's only partially translated, but you WILL want to play it.

Other recommendations:
-ef chapter 1. Not same style as Clannad, but also a school life/romance/comedy VN featuring a cynical bastard as protagonist. Art is amazing.
-Air. Shit art, just like Kanon, but made by Key (same developer as Clannad). Not school life, though, but it's still similiar to Clannad.
-Kanon. You already know about this one.
-One. Even shittier art than Kanon, and the story sucks. Play only if bored. Made by Key people back when they were still 'Tactics'.
-Brass Restoration. Also nice school life/romance, but it's doujin, so it's crappy at times (both in script and art).
-Yume Miru Kusuri. Very different from Clannad, but also school life/romance/comedy.

Also, Ever17. Has nothing to do with school life and is totally unlike Clannad, but go play it anyways. You won't regret it.

Three things need to be said, though;
1. It doesn't translate all that much, although it's enough to get you addicted
2. The most recent patch freezes at some point
3. Whenever you install a newer patch, all of your saves are lost. There's a workaround, though; save at the end of a day, backup the script file of that date and the gameexe.ini, install the patch, then put the script and gameexe back. Then you can load your save and the next day will use the newer files.
