It depends on the thickness doesn't it? It can be made from nylon but if it's thick enough it will be opaque.

I get the feeling that Rin's stocking is like that, it's a bit too glossy to be cotton.

Is Japan really as obsessed about stocking and pantyhose as animu/mango/VNs make them out to be? It’ll be pretty cool if they are, but how come? Where I live, Austrafailia, you hardly see any stocking, all the girls just wear jeans which is just a boner killer. The only place I see some nylon around here are the office ladies.

Well, as far as I remember Eclipse's version had pretty shitty quality overall.

I think having it in 1080 is pretty pointless though, the only advantage is that it doesn't have to be upscaled for bigger resolutions.
