To be honest I think using a virtual avatar might be the future for streaming. Humans are usually pretty ugly and having your own face on stream is not that pretty to look at. Compare it to a virtual avatar (not even anime) you can be pretty much anything you want, don't have to worry about presenting yourself physically and can just detach your streaming persona more from your real self.

I also see a future trend where our online persona's matter even more, and not just our social media presence. Your username could carry more meaning in the future than your real name and even more of our daily interactions move to a digital world.
