It depends. They can do 3D live collabs and skits much easier that way. You can spend a lot of time working on projects as a group, practice together for games easier, practice singing duets, etc. You can even maintain group healthy eating and exercise, which is what those gamer houses do...

The problem is, being friends or co-workers with people is very different from living with them. It's possible some people's proclivities and personal lifestyle at home can clash with others. Like people who are more lax about hygiene or less concerned about cleaning up, loss of privacy, deliveries, bringing over outside friends, family, or lovers, and hogging of group facilities like kitchen, toilet, etc.

Not great, not terrible.
