I've tried my hand at doing much, much shorter writing in the form of single posts, but they've never been done with the purpose of a larger narrative, or any to begin with. Just describing situations as you'd see in most any character thread. In any case, every time I've went at it, it takes me a pretty hefty amount of brainwork to come up with and put ideas into words, so trying to flesh out an entire story is daunting. Never really content with it either. I've struggled with writing (creative works in general, I think) since school, playing with words just isn't one of my strong points.
Is it really as simple as just consuming large amounts of literature? I can see the value of coming across 'bad' stories, whatever that might be, as long as there's an active effort put into analyzing why it might be bad.
Don't think I can promise anything right now, but I'll mull things over more. The uptick in stories here has been an absolute joy to read, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me wanna pitch in too. Thanks again.

Lily's entire plan would rely on inserting herself into your every waking moment in life, rather than making sure no one else can have you. From that point on, I think it depends on just how friendly the villagers are in regards to fairies. Having a youkai latch onto you would certainly make at least some people distrustful of you, but a fairy... opinions would range from humorous to annoying. Hell, I'm sure some would even play along with Lily, because it's really fucking funny to see that one guy who has a fairy crushing after him have to deal with her being hopped up in confidence after "scaring away" a bar's worth of bored patrons. She could certainly stir up some noise by abusing danmaku, but she would get shot down quick by Reimu. I just don't see the poor girl carrying out the perfect yandere experience, outside of Lily finding a knife and actually threatening to stab people (or you) with it. Her reign of terror could be stopped by tying her to a tree.
