bullshit. Ran simply WORKS for Yukari its not like Yukari summoned a fox spirit out of nowhere. Ran existed before Yukari employed her. Same as Chen. Chen is a cat spirit but that doesn't mean that without her master she would disappear, just be more weak.

Chen I can see you arguing saying Chen is super weak without Yukari and Ran because of what was said in PCB but Ran does not work that way. She's got 9 tails and she serves the strongest youkai which would mean that she's the SECOND STRONGEST being in Gensokyo.

You would think that Yukari would employ another spirit other than Ran if a more powerful one was found, no?

Also, when Yukari sleeps, Ran patches the border and does maintenace. She shares a small amount of Yukari's power.
