Honestly, am I doing something terribly wrong in this game? I am at HQ level 110 and I look at PvP where a bunch of people who are below my level run around with 3 first class medals or so.

I just absolutely for the love of god cannot finish an event on hard. Not once. This is the third event where I get stumped on the final mission. I finish all other missions easily E2, E3 and E4 I got the last dance down immediately. On E5? I can't even get down the fucking boss HP.

I did 30 sorties so far. 12 of them straight up ended at the submarine node. 3 of them reached the boss I did less than 500 damage total to the boss and blew over 100k resources so far with paying for air base and 2 support fleets.

I just dont get it. I watch streamer at twitch just going through E5 easily, they barely ever retreat mid sortie, their ships never take damage from the pre boss nodes. Only on the boss nodes their ships start to seriously take damage.
But when I sortie every fucking ship instantly taihas mine. Every. Single. Time.

I might not have the 51cm guns or 12 married ships or an akashi expansion on all my ships, but at some point I want to fucking clear an event on hard in my life. I see other people in PvP having cleared multiple, I doubt all of them have 12 married ships and perfect equipment.

Just what the fuck am I doing wrong? Or do I just have the world's longest bad luck streak spread over 3 events now? I attached a pic of my fleet so if there is anything in there that causes my fleet to choke on pre-boss nodes 90% of the time than please tell me.

I am so fucking salty right now I think I am going to take a few weeks breaks from the game after the event.
