the unfortunate fact of eroge is that most of them do absolutely nothing interesting with the narrative of h-scenes, so they just end up as porn. it's not uncommon that writers of eroge would be totally fine without erotic content in their story at all.

i will say though.
i really want to read an h-scene written by ryukishi.

Has anyone thought about how much suffering Rena has to go through at the end of watanagashi-hen.
She has to go to school everyday for the next 2-3 years, constantly seeing the empty desks and chairs of her once best friends as well as all the toys they used for their club activities. Even once she leaves school she would be so distraught that she couldn't fix her life in the future, on top of that her friendships were the only thing really keeping her depression in check.
