>How well is your vision when wearing the head? Do you have to have a handler walk with you?
Differs a lot between different masks / makers. Some limit your vision to only straight-ahead (requiring you to move your head to change your view), others are way better. Handlers are not really needed in private locations, but in public spaces you'll probably want a handler close by.
>What does it feel like wearing the head? Is it heavy?
It's nice, putting on the head feels like the moment where you can stop being yourself for a bit. The weight varies quite a bit, personally I've noticed that GKO's are way lighter than other makers. Wig length / weight also makes a big difference.
>How hot does it get inside the costume, is there a preferable time and climate to perform?
As hot as you make it yourself. Biggest influence on temp is probably the hot+moist air you're breathing out inside your mask. Lower surrounding temps help with that, as does a lower humidity probably.
>What do you wear underneath the skin besides padding (and in the case of crossplayers, fake breasts)? Do you just wear underwear? Do you wear pajama pants or sweatpants?
Something like a dance belt to keep stuff in place + smooth it out, higher denier tights/leggings to keep the hip pads in place. Hadas usually have a built-in support vest for boobas.
>How do you prevent anxiety while performing?
Not really sure if this is a thing for me since I've only kigged in private environments, not in public. But like others have said, being able to hide your face probably helps quite a bit with that.
>How do you prevent yourself from burping, sneezing and farting while performing?
As good as you can, really. Or if you're in a private setting anyway, just let it out and have a good giggle about it.
>What do you think of kigurumi live shows (Sailor Moon, Precure, etc.)?
Imo it's neat that it exists, but I have no interest in it at all. That particular style doesn't really do anything for me.
>What do you think of more traditional mascot costumes like pic?
Pretty cute, full costumes are neat. But it's the same as with kig, the styles of those can differ a lot and (at least for me) some work better than others.
>Have you worn a costume like pic, if not would you like to?
Kinda, wore a fursuit before, if that also counts..?
>Have you ever slept in your costume?
Not properly slept, but I've fallen asleep for a bit in kigu before. It's a neat feeling for sure.
>Have you ever suffered a mishap while performing?
Nothing unfixable, no. Loads of cringeworthy acting tho :^)
>How do you prevent an erection while performing?
If the multiple layers of shapewear don't already force you to tone it down (or at least make it less obvious/visible), then the thought of your surroundings judging you will probably help you out. Or just straight up don't give a fuck, that seems to work as well for plenty of people.
