Tenhou only uses two of the yaku under the "Other Multipliers" section (Nagashi Mangan and Ippatsu) but otherwise it's a good way to learn how to compose a hand and what constitutes a yaku. For more specific issues, here is a FAQ.

Q: I called on tiles 4 times and now I have a pair but I don't know how to declare a win!
A: You fucked up! Good work! Can you feel the other players' disdain? Try actually learning how to play before you click on things next time.

Q: The dealer has 3 open melds of souzu tiles and their discards are all manzu and pinzu tiles. What should I discard?
A: Definitely a souzu tile. They must have used all theirs up when they called 3 times.

Q: I got a hand worth 16,000 points or more in 3-player. What do I do now?
A: Take a screenshot and post it in the thread. We eat that shit up.

Q: What's the best way to win against the hackers in L0000?
A: Just flip your tiles over and say it's shang tsung toi boi rama lama ding dong, 2560000 points, and who's going to be able to tell you you're wrong? Nobody.
