I honestly just want them to break out of this isekai mmo and return to reality already.
They can always return to VRMMO later to continue solving whatever mysteries, quests and bad guys are left. Technically KMR doesn't even need to "remake" the game after this. I see it this way:
>No changes to the main game before reality arc
>When you reach reality arc the story stage structure stays the same, but the interface changes a bit to match the VRMMO style.
>Everyone is fully aware that they're playing a VRMMO. Mana(resource), equipment grinds and pvp are really just in-game ways to boost your character.
>Every old character gets a new single personal story episode which unlocks only after reality arc and covers their awakening and meeting kishi-kun irl
>The main story is now alternated between playing MMO and real life investigations, everyone trying to adjust to their old reality.
