I wouldn't make a Touhou doujin because I'm really bad at writing, but if I could imagine one that I'd like to see, I'd really like to see a "pc98 characters return to Gensokyo" style 4koma gag comic. I always like it when they get attention because it seems so sad that they're ignored

An anon here agrees with you, Anon. I won't say it "annoys me" that the windows games are more popular because that's just the nature of touhou; it didn't really take off until EoSD. But I do love keeping memories of its amazing music in my heart!

I admit to being biased; I've only played SoEW and HRtP, but by far some of my favorite themes are from them

Blade of Banishment is one of my all-time favorites; it has such a classy, slightly spooky yet mystical oldie feel to it. Not the remixed version on Akyu's Untouched Score, the *real* original original!

The remix of it in AUS isn't bad or anything, but I really do prefer the original. Maybe that's just because I played HRtP far more than any sane man should

Magic Mirror is also pretty awesome. When the beat really kicks in at around 0:55, it so perfectly matches the frantic feeling you get trying to dodge and fight your way through the danmaku

I could listen to that opening all night. It's like a lullaby that shifts into an impending sense of threat and danger. Probably my favorite SoEW song overall
