Not really, it's not like they don't do quality work there with this sort of thing. There is no way that they would've been able to have an enthusiast community larger than the West without quality translation of the works. Especially with Type-Moon works, there is no way that Fate Grand Order going to China after Japan would've succeeded without that. And as far as translation quality goes, from what I have read, they never had the whole "Noble Phantasm" -> "宝具" mistranslated for them so in some sense, their translation may have been higher quality than ours.

The thing that convinces me personally though is the timing between their partial and complete patches take multiple years. It's a situation where you can't really say it's MTL because if it was, it wouldn't take that long and would only take a year or two max to cobble something together. But the only reason they can achieve that kind of speed of 3 years translating is because they usually can source and coordinate multiple translators and few editors to keep the quality high supposedly while most English VN translations are usually one or two man shows.
