The lack of male characters creates the necessity of filling the void with faceless throwaway creations. Those are particularly/primarily useful for pornography where the identity of the male characters is completely unimportant to the rest of the "story". On the other hand it makes it very difficult to create anything in the way of emotional material because that would require a fucking miniscule amount of effort on the creators' parts.
