Let's say that you begin with switch with 3 states.
Off, 1, 2.

1 triggers C1, 2.. etc.
Then proceed to design what you want e.g: raise left hand, move head and blink, design then a circuit with 3 outputs and join them with Mux1-2/: eneables H active, 1-mov up, 0- mov-down (Eneable 0=no movement), adjust sequence, clock for the speed and the right components, depends where you live, and that simple motion is done, it shouldn't take more than 2 hours to design and other 2 to create a small chip with these. Is easy since you can do it with a Moore/Mealy machine with 6 states.
