Can't speak to spoiler, but it sure can be a money sink. It's not even the doll itself so much as the everything else. I spent $130 on this doll, but when my initial ordering was done the total was over $340, and that doesn't include the cost of MSC. Now that I've bought a few more outfits the total is probably over $500, and I'm still planning to buy a few more things. And that's just this one 1/6 doll. My 1/3 doll was $650 just for her alone.

You could always go with a smaller doll. There's a lot of 1/6th scale dolls that are significantly cheaper than SDs(pic related was $130 - for the doll. Clothes, wig, shoes,ect. brought the total to $340).

Den of Angels has a list of dolls that are under $300, but be aware that as mentioned above, you'll be paying a decent amount for clothes/wigs/ect as well.

I would wager if you haven't seen anything after this much time, it's unlikely you're going to see any in the future. That said, did you seal your doll? I used MSC on mine, and she's been wearing this red dress for months with no signs of staining.

Do you care if it's resin or vinyl? Because there are some cheap resin dolls. I picked up this girl for $130 before wig and clothes. Only 12 inches tall but still nice.
