Might look like it, but it's at least one level of autism deeper.

Whenever there is a vtuber character thread on /jp/ that is due to archive and some particular anon notices, they make sure the thread does not die by bumping with punctuation or gibberish, and making it less obvious by deleting the post. They will continue to do this indefinitely until the thread hits bump limit from other posts, making a thread that may have lasted a day or two last weeks/months/etc. Naturally you cannot see this here if you just jump into the thread, just on archives.

It's either out of genuine desire for there to be more of these threads for vtubers on the catalog, or someone poking at the obsession of some anons to keep certain threads from archiving despite having nothing to contribute, especially character threads from older series. I assume the latter since this bumper can't or won't bother to bump using images of Watame or making some trite comment and just leave it, which is about as easy to do.

The INMU bumper is someone who is compelled to respond to that by posting INMU, since the former person doesn't seem to care about the quality of thread beyond it existing with that OP. It's pretty back-and-forth actually: https://www.tokyochronos.net/jp/thread/40597750/#40692320

If you don't care about any of that, then the thread is about Watame.
