I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the fact that some people simply don't like the way it looks. Because alternatively, they just change it's design entirely.

I felt a crows feathers not long ago and they felt very nice. It isn't a raven but it should be similar enough. I can't exactly describe it with great detail yet though because I didn't have enough time to pet it and think about it more. But I will be seeing it again soon, so I can reinforce my memory of it, and then perhaps share it with you all.
