I'm going to otakon tomorrow to see JAM project. I've never had to interact with other weeaboos before. What should I expect?

Not that I have anything against these topics in particular but it's a bit tiring to see /jp/ filled with that sort of stuff 24/7. This board is called "Japan/General," fine, but as you probably agree, this board is only supposed to contain all the things that shouldn't be in /a/, we don't want a WHOLE board just for the hugeness of "I want to be Japanese" when we actually have the opportunity to discuss thousands of other topics related to visual novels, Touhou and figurines.

It's OK to be Japanophile and a Japanese major (even if not who cares) but you should know when you're going too far in making yourself look like a total faggot. The whole "I know 40 kanji" talk is like taking a joke too far, like looking for real long cats IRL. Even if you're a shameless whoring troll have some dignity, something like a "troll/nerd dignity" (sorry but it's a bit difficult ot explain).

Anyway, I hope I won't get the usual rage and "stopped reading right there" replies and you put some effort into writing your sages and flames.
