I couldn't have done it if Kuromu hadn't been sloppy with her early days as a VTuber. She could destroy her old accounts but can't purge stuff from the PUBG stat sites.

On June 10th one of the other Animare members, Ran, had a series of squad games on her account. Then several days after that she jumped into games with Hinako on June 16th.

One of the people Ran was teamed with in those five initial training matches was a Diamond 1 player, satan69. This was Kuromu carrying Ran and showing her the ropes.

I imagine that her new account name, kuromu96, is some sort of Japanese pun/inversion of satan69 that's gone over my head.

From there everything kind of naturally unfolded as I scoured the twitters and streaming sites of everyone satan69 has ever teamed with and everyone who has ever responded to one of her tweets going back from the most recent time until I found some video with her voice on it.
